Victoria Epilepsy & Parkinson’s Centre

The Victoria Epilepsy & Parkinson’s Centre (VEPC) serves individuals with Parkinson’s disease, a progressive, degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. Symptoms of the disease such as balance problems, painful muscle rigidity, slurred speech and anxiety create stress, isolation and vulnerability for many Parkinson’s patients. The Isolated Seniors with Parkinson’s Project will connect these isolated seniors and their family caregivers with community resources; is also will identify clients in need of assessment, care strategies and service plans.
