Foodbank of Southern California

The Foodbank of Southern California provides nutritious food, free of charge to low-income seniors with the Brown Bag Network Program. Many of the seniors are homebound – without means to get food – or at risk of hunger because of very low fixed incomes. The Foodbank distributes and delivers nutritional food biweekly to 18 distribution sites for over 2,300 needy seniors and to 72 homebound seniors on a weekly basis. This grant allows the Foodbank to add new “homebound” clients for weekly delivery and help maintain biweekly and weekly services for its existing low-income client base.
